Hi, not enough info so this might be a hit-or-miss. However, it’s great that this person is admitting to his/her shortcoming and wanting to address it 👏🏻
1- Be mindful. He/she needs to know whether it’s a reaction towards this new person, or an image of the past?
2- Address the source of the negative emotions. Long-rooted emotions will alter a person’s perceptions towards others.
3- Learn to himself/herself first, because we tend to accept love that we think we deserve.
