Is it hatred or legitimate beef considering the Saqifa and the exclusion of key people during that meeting, including Prophet Muhammad’s family. It’s a bit suspicious that Abu Bakr was determined to be the Caliphate without everyone in attendance. It’s giving power grab and tribalism. From my understanding it’s also not in line with Quranic spiritual successions, with next of kin being selected by God to continue his work. Honestly, I get the Shia perspective and their views on the sahabas.
