I thought the stories on here about change & cashiers were made up. My total at Dunkin was $4.30 I gave him $10 & handed him 30 cents after handing him the bill. He told me he didn’t need the change 10 was enough. I told him he could give me $6 back. He gave me $5.70 & acted confused. Like is that not basic math?

I give exact change so often and have this same interaction. But at a cash register, if you catch me at a bad time when I already had a few other things on my mind and already hit tender… my mind goes blank and you can’t even ask my name cause I forgot it😭
