Define "expensive". Some of you people are crazy cheap. Their staff has to be paid. The rent has to be paid. Keeping the lights on isn't free.....

My definition of expensive for thrifting is- if i see something the same if not more expensive than when it was brandnew. My local goodwill was selling a bunch of old faded glory clothes & some of it was up to 10 bucks. Probably what it was new when walmart still carried them. Ive started donating to local businesses because ive worked for a "big" thriftstore & i used to get in trouble for not marking it as high as possible.. because worst case was if it didnt sell, we'd retag cheaper

They don’t even have fitting rooms or staff at checkout. While paying staff minimum wage and pricing used items as high as new clothes.

I once found a cheap plastic throw-away salad container (the ones salads come in from the market) for $8. Even used shoes are $25+. Ridiculous prices.

I get it. I also get that they can’t iron every single tshirt. What I don’t get is putting a 150€ price tag on a tuxedo that looks like it was pulled out of someone’s ass.

right… which is why nonprofits don’t typically pay taxes. they are not supposed to be for profit companies.
