Before the election, my 11-yo son and I used to listen to @npr on our 20-min commute to school and back. After the election, I was just so exhausted and in disbelief and didn’t wanna hear anything about the 🍊 🤡 or the upcoming new government, and had been avoiding the news altogether. This morning, though, it hit me—what message am I sending to my son? You don’t like this situation/person so you give up educating yourself on what’s happening? We’re back on @npr, and they don’t disappoint us 😌
