Standing behind a family in line today, casually talking with the mom of the 15YO boy and 8YO girl. I said something about the girl growing up to be strong, and the brother says “she’s gonna grow up to be fat.” Friends, how I chastised that boy. “We don’t talk like that, we don’t fat shame, we aren’t mean to our little sisters who LOOK UP TO US.” The mom didn’t even flinch, she laughed it all off.
