Do you think it's impressive if someone completes a marathon regardless of their time?!

It has its limits. I mean, if you literally just slow-walk at 30min/mi pace, no, I'm not impressed at all.

After walking a marathon as an Achilles guide, yes.

No I do not. Doesn’t matter who you are or what ailments there may be, but 100 hours is far too long for a marathon to be considered “impressive” 🤫

Yep. That’s a long way. Walking a marathon is impressive. Running a marathon is impressive. It’s all impressive

Absolutely. Completing a marathon is one of the rarest achievements out there for a person to accomplishment. Whether they did it in 2:01 or in 8:01 - it’s amazing.

I can see where it might not be impressive w/ longer times, but I feel that just putting yourself out there and preparing to finish 26.2 is fucking hard. Yea, people running 5min/mil are impressive but if it takes you 10hrs to do 26.2, you are there that entire time and telling that voice in your head telling you to quit to shut up for 10hrs. Life can be soft at times, it's through these experiences where you can really scrape away at who you are and that should be celebrated regardless IMHO

Yep. My “fast” and “slow” races all covered 26.2+ miles.
