Sometimes I think about unintentional things in my stories and I just fall in love with them all over again. In Burgundy Sky, this juxtaposition between side characters sort of fell into place naturally. Both struggle with addiction but there are stark differences in how they’re perceived by society based on their class and economic status. It’s so subtle that I wonder if readers even notice. I notice, though, and I think it’s pretty cool.
