Well, I posted a thread about not wanting to teach Christianity in public school and it made people big mad. The purpose of religion is to help you live a moral and good life. However you get there. Whatever religion or belief. And you can do this without Bible thumping.

I would be a little miffed if my child were taught other religious beliefs in the classroom, so I'm trying to put myself in the shoes of other parents who believe differently when I think about Christianity preached in the classrooms. The saying "ain't no hate like Christian love" didn't come from nowhere. Ain't no love like GOD'S LOVE, and THAT should be taught in (1/2)

All of Western Civilization was founded in Judeo-Christian values that form the foundation of our basic principles of how we interact and live daily with one another. So we can all respect the fact that while our morals and values as a society has it's roots in religious beliefs.. you are correct that those values can be taught without the religious doctrine aspects of them... Odd don't you think? "We want only the choices WE say and not all of them.". Pretty non-inclusive statement for someone that's about being all inclusive. 🤷. In other words we are are brainwashed to believe in a God by a particular religion. It is up to us to choose to believe or not. And by the way, Finland is a very safe country with good and honest people with or without believing in God.
