That’s because during that period those of us who listened to Goth-type music weren’t costumey. Younger people think ‘being Goth’ is looking like Marilyn Manson. I really hate this mentality 🤣 I recently saw Peter Hook and the Light and he was wearing a tshirt, cargo shorts and white tennis shoes and played the most amazing, dark, guitar solos for two hours. 😍
