Just tried to join Planet Fitness, they said you need to provide a banking routing number and you are only allowed to cancel your membership in person. I said “what if you are disabled?” He said “then you can’t cancel”

2 小時內	Green Gifts Elk Grove greengiftseg	I signed up in AZ then moved to CA, the one in CA was too far from my house. I went to cancel & they said I had to cancel at my “home” gym where I signed up. There is a process for moving your home gym but it was involved. I forgot about the membership for a YEAR then remembered one day when I was AZ visiting family & happened to be driving past my “home” gym. I pulled over so fast & ran inside to cancel. When the woman tried to talk me out of it, I stared her right in the eye & firmly said NO.

I injured myself and ended up with a hernia working out with one of their trainers, and when I said I’d like to cancel my membership because I wouldn’t be able to work out for quite a while during recovery, I was literally told that unless someone wanted to take over my membership, I’d just have to continue to pay. So good.
