Yes! This is so important. A popular quote in psychology circles is "people tend to first form their beliefs and then look for evidence to support them, rather than letting evidence shape their beliefs." I'm not sure who said it. It's a summary of confirmation bias which complementarians have a really bad case of. They miss so much of Scripture and don't shy away from flat out twisting anything that runs contrary to their worldview to mean the opposite of what it actually communicates.
