With all the commentary around Wicked, I think I’ll take myself on a solo date to see it this week. I’ve never read the book or seen any sort of show, play, or adaptation of it. The previews look good and the reviews sound promising though, so I’m intrigued. Besides, I love the Wizard of Oz, a good backstory and a good villain story. With the exception of the fact that I’m not really into musicals (but can tolerate it if well done), I think I just might enjoy this.
