Well yeah it costs more but those two states are hardly equal. CA is amazing and TX is mostly not so cool. It’s hilarious how this false equivalency keeps repeating itself by people who dismiss qualitative differences.

Purely speaking from only his deal, he's making less from Brownsville to San Diego. He needed to be over 324k… he accepted at 300k. Could his life be better there? Absolutely but im only speaking with what i know from his offer. I wouldn't move to a new place unless the job offer is over 20% (over living costs) and they pay for my moving expenses. But that's me…. I know others would probably move
