When I was a kid. We went to the library in town and J picked out books to borrow and read. My mum was the head of English at the local tech school that was across from the library. My mum told the library staff to let me borrow anything I wanted (provided it didn't have detailed acts of you know what). When I was eight, I brought home Cujo by @stephenking - my mum happened to ask my Dad what I had brought home. Dad stuck his head in my door and asked me to hold up the book. I obliged. 🧵
