Later I found out that Cynthia did all her own stunts, they both sang live takes while filming, and there was very limited CGI. They built almost all of it. They even planted NINE MILLION TULIPS for the opening scene. Mind blown 🤯 2/3

幾秒內	Sarah R. Bloom sarahrbloom	Everyone in it was perfection, truly, and the costume design!! And above all of that, I think it is so significant to have a Black woman play this titular role. The story is very much about being “othered” and what that can do to a person. Her story is of defiance and strength and resistance to rules that are inherently cruel. I was moved to tears a few times, oftentimes just by Erivo’s voice. 3/3
