I grew up with an absent mother due to alcoholism and now I’m a mother who suffers from alcoholism however I’m still able to be present every day in my daughter‘s life.
I’m not proud that I still turn to alcohol but I agree 100% the way I was raised was not right and I’m repeating the same mistakes. This is a very powerful post and it hits Home a lot.
It’s none of our faults it’s hereditary and it gets worse with generations
I often wonder at what point will I not be present in her life?
