Churches have a budget that of course includes building maintenance, salaries, maybe van maintenance as well as whatever missions they support. Many have a pantry and a benevolence fund to help anyone in the community having trouble. Most support missionaries in other countries. If you belong to a church, they’re very transparent about where their funds go.

No. My husband and I tithe 10% of our income, the first fruits as Scripture says. God has been faithful to provide for our needs and has taken care of us for 50 years. Can't imagine not following this law.

Tithing is not a requirement in our denomination. It is encouraged as a spiritual practice. Our giving goes to run the church-salaries, utilities, etc and our various ministries and charities

Here’s an inconvenient truth; only Christians go to heaven to spend eternity with Jesus Christ. Your tithe goes to help spread the good news of Jesus Christ throughout your city, state, nation, and the world. Only those who reject the promises of The Holy Scriptures choose not to tithe. So, don’t tithe and be another of the hypocrites in the church claiming to believe but not believing with their money.

Yes, Christians do this. Google Samaritan’s purse. Volunteers for it did a lot of work and help every time there is a disaster. They helped with the hurricane disaster more than the government.  my church does a lot with overseas problems , like Haiti. 

I do tithe to my church, 10% of my gross income and my wife does the same when she tithes. We know our tithe goes to paying salaries and utilities for the building we go to church at. Additionally, 10% of what the church we go to receives in tithes goes to mission projects locally, nationally, and globally. Such as Convoy of Hope, FireBible, and various projects to bring food, resources, and the news of Jesus to all who haven’t heard.
