A customer questioned the price of one of my top quality, Italian wool cowls ( which I made) today as she pulled a Tahari cashmere sweater out of her bag and informed me that she paid only $70, half of what I was asking. I looked her straight in the eyes, pointed to her sweater and said : that’s a mass product, mine is one of 5. That shut her up. I have no patience for an uneducated customer’ anymore.
