That’s cute. I’ve checked out with way more than ten items and in the many Targets I e shopped in my region, there’s one with an employee regularly present - the tiny urban one where the customer service desk is colocated with the self-check out machines.

Not all Targets. In my area the Targets all have completely different rules and staffing levels. One killed self checkout. Another has some one watching. Another limits it to 10 and has an employee helping. And some stores have no employees regularly manning, they are floaters.

Unless you have made a visit to every one of the approximately 2000 Targets across the US & know there is an employee monitoring self checkout without ceasing then you need to stop accusing anyone of lying about their experience. I could very easily do the same at any of my area’s Target stores were I so inclined. Now the question is, do you have the character to do the right thing & apologize to the original poster.

Self checkout is NOT 10 items or less at my target or any of my local grocery stores. There are express lanes for 10-12 less though.
