It won’t help Texas if progressives leave. Texas was trending purple until the 2024 election. Democrats largely controlled the larger cities. State government has been messed up because of dark money from billionaire Christian nationalists and voter apathy, but no reason a blue wave couldn’t change that. Where will you go? It’s Trump county now almost everywhere. I’m staying, am needed here.

Yes! It will help tremendously if you leave Texas. Get your traffic and poor attitude out of here.

This really is a yes and no. No because we lose progressives in the state that are fighting the good fight and yes because if the population of Texas dropped dramatically they would receive less electoral votes. As it stands right now by 2030 Texas’s electoral votes go up to 40 making it even harder to win the electoral college for democrats. And the population really would have to decrease drastically probably at least by a couple million people.

Been asking ourselves that a lot. Personally, I think if Texas goes down, the whole US is going down with it, and I only wanna move once, so I'd probably go to Mexico. Which would proprobably also go down. Anyway, it would be a logistical nightmare for 2 women with disabilities and 3 cats with issues. So probably not gonna happen unless physical safety is threatened. Yeah. Stay and fight for those who will need more help than we do. And there will be lots.

If you need to, you need to. Everyone has to do what they need to for their family's sake. If it's to be part of some strategy? I don't see it. If no one stays, nothing changes for the better.

Depends on where you move. If you move to an already blue state , no impact. If you move to a swing state, maybe you could make an impact.
