Gonna go on record with my one Boomer opinion and say month, day, year just makes the most sense for every day usage. Like, the year is usually the least helpful piece of data, it shouldn't go first. Heck we even drop it half the time. "When's the meeting?" February 2nd, so, 2/2. We can all assume it's not four years from now. Obviously year makes more sense for long term database purposes, but sorting by month in one folder and years in a larger folder is perfect for standard computer use.
