GDP in essence measures the productivity of a country and its labor force. Oh Israel, you make us so proud. Second behind only Qatar in the Middle East, Israel is an economic force, and note that Qatar has the third largest natural gas reserves worldwide, giving them a leg (or two!) up.

A nation like Israel, that sees itself as the "Chosen People," now facing accusations of genocide—a crime that represents the antithesis of moral leadership and chosen responsibility. Being "chosen" should, theoretically, come with a higher ethical standard, a duty to uphold justice and protect all lives, not just those of your own. Yet, here we are, witnessing policies and actions that the international community, describe as apartheid and even ethnic cleansing.
