Personally I think “representing your faith” is fine. As far as I’m concerned, feel free to tell the kids that you’re Catholic, Quaker, Jewish, Church of Satan—or other details about your life (married, divorced, widowed, poly, gay…) It’s part of who you are and I don’t think it should be required that you don’t mention it. But classrooms aren’t the place for prayer. The kids can know you do it but the things which happen in class shouldn’t require someone to profess a faith or sit out.
