Here’s a therapy tip James and I learned at a marriage retreat. When tensions are high or you just need a minute to yourself, give your spouse/relative/friend a heads up by saying following phrase, “I love you so much but right now, I need to love you over there” and point in a direction away from you. When conditions subside, approach with arms open and give each other a long hug and say “I love you and I’m sorry. Sit down together and talk it out. This technique works more times than not. ❤️
