Just a friendly reminder, A LOT of staff in government buildings- janitors, maintenance, etc…- are contract staff and will receive NO back pay. A shutdown doesn’t mean only the big wigs don’t get paid now and will get paid later. It means people will lose a lot of income that they count on.
