On the topic of violence against women and SA I often read or hear men rebutt that “99% of men are appalled by that behavior. It is only a very small percent of monsters. Those aren’t real men” Sometimes I think that is deflection & defensiveness but I also think part of the larger issue is that many men actually believe this. 99% of men are not good men. If nearly every woman I know has been assaulted and all women have been harassed, that’s not 1% 1/
