It's called profit from healthcare, this does happen in the UK, private health use NHS staff, they also expect the NHS to foot the bill afterwards, they don't want to know when it all goes wrong, and it frequently does

My surgery was paid for by WPA who are a private health insurer. The nurses who looked after me don't work for the NHS in any capacity. I asked as I know some surgeons skip between private and NHS and I was curious if it was the same for nurses
