I never liked Superman. Until Chris Nolan came along. And if it wasn’t for Chris Evans I’d still, still hate Cap too.

That statement simply proves how little exposure you have to the history of the iconic character. You still don’t like Superman. Snyder’s version takes the character who embodies the brightness, hope and joy of the DC Universe and gives us a super powered version of Batman.

I had no idea Cavill had so many haters until this new trailer dropped. Man the movie hasnt even come yet but people are already praising it and hating on Cavill. Wow.

Christopher Nolan didn't write or direct a single superman movie, he was a producer. Chris evans was just the actor, not even a producer. So I'm lost on what those two have in common and what the point really is.

Nobody is hating on Henry Cavill. I thought he was great in the role, but was given a garbage script to work with. Superman is supposed to be a beacon of hope, not a dour, brooding, dark hero. The problem was that Man of Steel (and the Snyder verse as a whole) were written as dark weighty films and nobody was wanting that. Further while he was good in the role, he was still nowhere near as good or iconic as Christopher Reeve, but people kept trying to push the narrative that he was better.
