I absolutely loved Man of Steel. There, I said it. Fully aware of its issues (the wanton destruction, the tornado scene), and how much Superman fans hated its deviation from the lore. Even so, I still think it's one of the best of the DCEU. Hans Zimmer's hopeful score, the idyllic imagery of young Clark playing in a cape, adult Clark riding a single-speed bicycle to work. And the line "you just have to decide what kind of a man you want to grow up to be, Clark" still makes me tear up.
