This happened to me years ago. My radiator ran hot and my car shut off on my way home from work with my daughter in the car with me, she may have been 4 at the time. A man pulled up behind me and came to offer me a ride home. I was really apprehensive but he was in a military outfit, and he told me to contact my family and give them his drivers license number ( back then it was your SSN), and license plate number as well . He moved my car off the road and we made it home safely.
