I just had the very best evening with my family—including my ex husband and his new wife. People don’t have to hate each other after divorce. We’ve raised kids together. We’ve been through big hardships and big joys together. We’ve grown as people, in large part because of each other. Just because we didn’t want to stay on the path together doesn’t mean we can’t be happy for each other as we go our separate ways. It really can be good!
