Reading these comments is laughable. It shows that so many people have either never worked retail, or don't understand the concept of it's not WHAT you say, but HOW you say it.
Yes, that customer declined extras with a "no, thank you" but he may have said it in a way that came across as rude.
After 30+ yes in retail, ye a no thank you can be rude. Pay attention and you'll see that it can indeed be rude. 🙄
