Wat Chedi Luang was built in 1391 in Chiang Mai and once housed the Emerald Buddha. Partially destroyed by an earthquake, its towering pagoda, or what remains of the pagoda (in photo), showcases Lanna architecure and remains a spiritual and historical landmark in the country.
