People forget how much of a temperature drop there is just by driving 3 hours North of Phoenix. You can go water skiing and snow skiing in the same day if you wanted to. I tell my lady every time we leave the house to make sure she has a few layers of appropriate clothing and good footwear because you never know if I'm going to the desert or the mountains that day, and you do not want to suffer dressing inappropriately in either environment.
