growing up as an African American/Latina with no clear representation of what marriage, self-discovery, or even sexual education could look like before relationships, I’ve often wondered how much of my polyam identity is simply me & how much came from unlearning societal narratives & family “expectations”.. I’ve always known I was wired for love without limits, but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that stepping into non-monogamy felt like relief.. part of a rebellion..an escape from 🧶⤵️
