I would suggest that you watch the series on Paramount+ called "The Offer" on how they made the movie, then watch it. There are many that say the craziest things about this movie and I just can't understand their thinking. The book is identical to it, sans two situations not mentioned in the movie. IMO it's a complete masterpiece.
