Sewing is a fantastic skill! Upcycling fabrics is fantastic - purchasing fabric off the bolt gets $$$$ fast. Thrifted duvet covers, curtains and sheets are all great inexpensive fabrics to practice and use. PJ pants out of expensive sheets feel so, so good!

Check out @reversegarbage they have a lot of deadstock donated fabric and notions. I walked out of there with two full bags for $27! And I’ve pretty much stopped shopping unless it’s from the Salvo’s or spotlight for specific fabric - and only from the clearance section. The amount of gorgeous fabric I’ve bought for next to nothing - amazing!

I really love the sewliberated patterns for how well they come together and the size range. The ones from @twigandtale are also wel graded for all sizes and bodies and have really helpful videos of the steps for beginners
