As for the grocery prices they have only gone up to the point that even Germany seems affordable atp despite the government reducing or eliminating the VAT on essential goods so basically grocery stores' profits increased, if you can afford to live as a barista in Spain you either still live with your parents or working under the table because it's almost impossible to do so, not to mention the massive overtime, lack of regulations and not being insured the amount of hours you work.
