I explain the situation and they tell me the one bolt was double the thickness. It was not. I was there and touched them to be sure. Manager won't offer store credit. It was a difference of $100 ...do I just let it go?

Is this a local store or a bigger company? I'm trying to determine if you can go above the Manager's head and if so how. It sounds like the owner or Customer Service line should be involved.

If you kept your receipt and have any of the material left take it in and make a fuss. If they have higher up go there. If not make a video online. Don’t let it go

I'm betting someone mis-tagged the fabric ? Maybe even put the lighter less expensive fabric on incorrect bolt? Does receipt have SKU number or the like? Take your receipt and fabric purchase and return it for full credit. Repurchase what you need. Report to corporate or owner and BBB.

I mean what are you going to do, sue them? I don’t understand. The manager already told him he won’t give you store credit. So yes you let go… and either go somewhere else or let it go and continue to shop there.

Grrr. That’s maddening. Just depends on how much time you have and the relationship, if any, between you and the store / manager. I’d probably go for it.
