I read it as making folks work from an office is stealing 5% out of their paycheck!

They aren’t stealing anything… they’re just not having to pay commute costs to get to work to earn their wage. Imagine being so dumb and bitter you think not having to spend part of your own wage is stealing

By this guys idiot logic, anyone who was hired to work remotely, and negotiated their salary to work from home, and is being asked to go to the office should be provided a 5 percent pay increase.

It's good that awareness is growing that the 1% are stoking these ridiculous debates about "stealing" a 3% pay raise by working remotely. We kept our companies profitable during a pandemic lockdown, realized a decent work-life balance, and now it's being taken away to satisfy the 1%'s need to revert to a more comfortable level of control over the 99%.

The cost of working from home is ignored here. It costs more to work from home than to commute. (Heating, water, electric,...) It also saves money for the employer if enough people work from home (heating, water, electric, smaller office,...)
