Newest bugbear: the phrase “feminist ally.” You’re either a feminist or you’re not. If you’re a man, you should be a feminist—no “ally” label needed. People often use it interchangeably with “ally of women,” but isn’t that just being a decent person? What’s the alternative? I consider myself a feminist, though my wife would agree I can always do better. That’s part of striving to be a good human.
