I am TRYING to make potato salad and I can't get this fresh jar of pickles open. I have no one home who can help. This is literally getting in between me and my dinner. I have tried all the tricks, except for throwing it at a wall and picking the glass out (and my whole house smelling like pickles) *extreme*ly frustrating 🤣

12 分鐘內	Catherine (the OK) catherinetheok	Alas, while hot water from the tap wasn't enough to soften the seal, my boiling pot of potatoes was. Still needed saran wrap on the lid to get enough grip. I also pulled a muscle wrenching on it 🤣

3 小時內	Janet Stetler Bin binbunch	I have a jar opener called a gilhoolie and it works great. I see that Vermont country store carries them. Not sure where I inherited mine from as I’ve had it for years (I didnt originally buy it) but it is awesome.
3 小時內	Terisa L t_risal	Once you've tried it all, and it doesn't work, just stab a small in the top of the lid with your sharp knife. The seal will be broken.

4 小時內	Barbara Tweten barbaratweten	Take a spoon, bowl side up. Tuck the point of the spoon under the edge of the lip of the lid. Gently pull up on the spoon. The vacuum seal will pop.
