There's been a lot of discussion around the S24 Ultra being named the smartphone of the year by @mkbhd. I generally agree with that. The S24 Ultra is a great device overall. It's a safe bet in the Android world. But my smartphone of the year is Pixel9ProXL I love that one so much. It doesn't have the S Pen or somewhat overwhelming customization options, but in my case it does everything I want and it does it great.
