They put us down out of envy and their inability to lose that uncomfortable fear they feel because of a lack of connection to us, because they have literally never seen us as human! Our power is so overwhelming they want to control it and subdue us so we can't achieve the things we're more than capable of. We are dieties that somehow occupy the same flesh and blood as any other vessel but we maintain it with such ethereal grace that they just hate us cause they ain't us!
