I think your post is very much needed! So many are trying to live up to "the perfect Christmas " and it just doesn't exist. This year, I have not put up a tree, but im using a small ceramic tree, I also bought cookies, and my neighbors have dropped off homemade treats...my gifts are wrapped, and I'm cooking Christmas day.
