I had a brunch planned with 4 friends 10 days after October 7. One of them called Hamas freedom fighters and spread lights from day one in Facebook. I didn’t politely decline. I called the other 3 and explained in no uncertain way why I couldn’t be there. I couldn’t fake it or find another excuse in the case the were proposing to move the brunch. I didn’t expect them to cancel but I wasn’t gonna act like things were ok.
