Well Star Wars, Indiana jones, every marvel movie since Spider-Man NWH, Pixar have all tanked with their recent projects. Oh and rings of power. The issue is not with a diverse cast. The issue is with that being THE SOLE FOCUS of the project without any consideration for a good story or how it may fit into the narrative. Wicked was already a wildly successful stage play before it became a movie. Obviously the two actresses are very talented and have stage roots as well.

ANYWAY, directors and producers have been focusing on writing a good story for most of these films BUT you wouldn’t notice that or probably can’t even articulate WHAT makes good storytelling or any techniques directors/producers do or have done to tell a good cinematic story because you get too hyped up over seeing black and brown people in these movies. You’re the one who gets to focused on race.

You have critics and audiences praising this movie, seeing a 2 and 1/2 hour movie numerous times. That’s how good and entertaining it is, but you’re not going to see it, you’re gonna ignore word of mouth and critics WHOSE JOB IS TO DECIPHER WHAT A GOOD AND BAD FILM IS, all because you deem it woke. Because a black woman is playing a green witch, like that’s a valid problem…

Rings of Power did too despite that, but the people calling it woke are not going to see for themselves and ignore what critics/viewers while ironically focusing on race, while accusing producers/directors/studios of what they’re doing
