According to official NFL rules, an illegal shift ONLY blows the play dead if the clock is running. The Raiders spiked the ball on 2nd down (the previous play) which means the clock had STOPPED. The Raiders quarterback was not ready for the snap and the Chiefs recovered the 🏈 with only 11 seconds left in the game. The Chiefs then had the option to either accept or decline the illegal shift penalty, which they obviously declined. THE OFFICIALS GOT THE CALL CORRECT!!!
