When Dr. Dillamond gets taken away and Galinda says she’s going to take a stand, change her name to Glinda the audience laughed. But it’s literally the same stand as wearing a blue bracelet, a pink pu$$y hat or a safety pin. Our theatre was a packed house. I bet any amount some of them laughing at her empty gesture thought at least one (or all) of those other 3 were good ideas. That’s why poltical art is so important. It’s a mirror. WickedThreads
